Joe Winch spent twenty years serving as a Royal Marines Commando Officer. His career took him from the frontlines of Afghanistan to some of the world’s highest and most remote peaks. He led teams through extreme environments, tested both physically and mentally, and learned the human capacity for endurance, courage, and leadership under pressure.
But the cost of service was profound. Years of exposure to trauma, blast injuries, and relentless operational stress left Joe with life-changing physical and psychological injuries, including Complex PTSD, hyperacusis, and a deep sense of identity loss. Conventional therapeutic models — though well-intentioned — were not enough to meet the depth of his experience.
In the aftermath, Joe faced years of collapse, confusion, and isolation. It was in these moments of vulnerability that he began exploring alternative paths to healing: embodied practices, nature immersion, trauma-informed breathwork, and expanded states of consciousness. These methods offered not only relief, but a way to reconnect — to his body, his mind, and ultimately, his purpose.
This journey reshaped his understanding of resilience. It is not about “bouncing back” to who you were, but about showing up fully, moment by moment, to who you are becoming. It is not about fixing what is broken, but reclaiming agency, identity, and the capacity to live with presence, courage, and integrity.
Today, Joe guides others through these same transformative processes. From veterans navigating trauma, to professionals seeking clarity and balance under pressure, his work bridges lived experience, neuroscience, and human potential. Whether through breathwork, guided wilderness immersion, or public speaking, Joe creates spaces where people can reconnect with themselves, regain self-trust, and step into life more fully.
