Join me on May 23rd to journey inwards through breath, imagery and internal exploration towards knowing our inner dragon.

The dragon is a symbol for our fiery parts, the parts of us that say no without the thank you. Our boundaries, our limits, our fire that wishes to burn villages. Our sacred rage.

The dragon evokes symbolism of our hidden parts, relegated to the caves in the mountains. Away from civilisation. Demonised. Banished by society. The parts of us that are deemed unacceptable and misunderstood.

When we stuff down our anger, we stuff it into the guts. We can create inflammation in the body. Cortisol and unspent adrenaline can corse through the body with no where to go. Incomplete stress cycles that go on to wreak havoc internally. When we are programmed to push down our own voices, our own truths, our silence becomes deafening in the shadows and we scream from the inside.

When we do not know how to ride the waves of our anger, we can shut it away or find ourselves spitting fire wherever we go, giving away our power and creating fire that does not serve.

And yet, the dragon has been known to protect treasure. Perhaps there is vitality in our rage? A life force that can be cultivated to serve. I invite you to imagine that meeting your dragon may too lead you to the treasures that live inside of you.

What does it mean to meet the dragon? To learn to soar through the skies on its back?

Certainly not to ‘act out’ from that place, then what?

In breathwork and psychotherapy, we play with the energy of dragon, so that we have access to its vitality outside of the room, so we can cultivate the inner fire breather without burning down our relationships and lives. Unless of course that’s what needs to happen. Who knows what treasure may reveal itself to you?

You are invited to join me to explore this theme of meeting the dragon.

This is a somatic (body) based workshop; we will explore the themes discussed above and how they live in a felt sense in our bodies and images in our minds. We are prioritising the body, through somatic awareness, conscious connected breathwork, somatic movement and integration.

When we prioritise the body, to speaks its wisdom, we come to know ourselves in deeper, more meaningful ways, we can learn to ride the waves of our sufferings and we can build the bridge between our conscious and unconscious awareness.

The breathe takes place in a beautiful cabin nestled in Queenswood, Highgate, an ancient woodland, dating back to at least the 1600’s. Allowing us to feel held by nature, and our ancestors.

As ever, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. Spaces are limited to small groups, so please do reserve your space if this calls to you at this time.

I wish to make CCB accessible, and have included low cost tickets to each group breathe, the code is ‘supported’ which can be used at check out.  Please pass this onto anyone you feel may benefit from the powerful practice that is CCB.

Concious Connected Breathwork is a somatic breath practice that can support trauma work, release stress, expand consciousness as well as many other reported benefits. You can read more about this on my website and socials. I will be running the breathe on a monthly basis to allow room for a regular practice to be cultivated. Breathe, like any practice, deepens, expands, and shifts over time and the more we practice the greater the gifts it can provide.

With deepest care,
