Why should I become a Breathwork Supporter?2023-06-11T16:23:18-04:00

By becoming a Breathwork Supporter, you are supporting the GPBA’s work in promoting the highest of training standards and ethics in the field of Breathwork. You are also gaining membership to a professional Breathwork organization, a good first step before becoming a Certified Practitioner.

Your donation will be tax-deductible, and if you choose, you may be listed on our website to signify that you are a promoter of Breathwork in the world.

My Breathwork school doesn’t offer a 400 hour training program. Can we be an Alliance Partner instead?2023-06-11T16:19:37-04:00

Unfortunately, no. Alliance Partner membership is reserved for groups and organizations, often nonprofits, who are guided by the mission in supporting Breathwork in the world.

However, you may want to consider become an Ethically Compliant Breathwork School instead.

Why should I become an Alliance Partner?2023-06-11T16:18:39-04:00

Partnership in breath benefits all in the Breathwork world. We are stronger together.

I am interested in finding a school/program to receive training or Breathwork instruction for personal use. Can you recommend one for me?2023-09-13T07:42:25-04:00

Visit our Certified Professional Breathwork School directory as all of these schools have been certified by the GPBA. Finding a school/program is unique to each individual so we welcome you to do a bit of research and see which one may be a good fit for you. And while most of our certified schools are geared towards offering training for practitioners, some also offer Breathwork instruction for personal use, as well as one-on-one Breathwork sessions.

Recently, we also began to offer an Ethically Compliant Breathwork Program certification which may be an option, as well.

Once we are a Certified Professional Breathwork School, are our past graduates eligible for certification?2023-06-11T16:25:43-04:00

Yes, as long as they have graduated from the program that you submitted, your students are eligible for certification.

If we are able to receive accreditation by you, does this mean that anyone who graduates from our school is able to be certified by the GPBA?2023-06-11T16:14:24-04:00

Yes, once your students have completed their training, they are automatically eligible for Practitioner certification.

I am thinking about starting a school for Breathwork or certifying one of my Breathwork training programs. Do you have any recommendations?2023-09-13T07:41:18-04:00

Review the Training Standards. The GPBA Standards cover components such as required length of training, structure of training, trainers, supervision, client work, and recommended topics.

I would like to apply for certification for my school but I am not sure if we’re qualified. What should I do?2023-09-13T07:40:59-04:00

Before starting your application, take a moment to review the GPBA Training Standards. It offers a comprehensive and detailed account of the minimum requirements of a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School.

Why should I become a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School?2023-06-11T16:10:42-04:00

By becoming a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School, you are signaling to colleagues, practitioners and breathees that you offer exemplary training conforming to the GPBA standards. You will also be listed on our website, along with contact information and program description, receive a digital badge to use on your website and other digital media, as well as other membership benefits. In addition, by becoming a Certified Professional Breathwork School your students will automatically be eligible for GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork certification and membership.

I am interested in working with a Breathwork practitioner. Can you recommend someone for me?2023-09-13T07:40:41-04:00

Visit the Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner and Ethically Compliant Breathwork Facilitator directories as these Breathworkers have completed the minimum training for each of these certification types. Finding a practitioner is unique to each individual so we welcome you to do a bit of research and see who may be a good fit for you.

I have graduated from multiple programs that add up to the required 400 hours of training. Am I eligible for certification?2023-09-13T07:39:42-04:00

Yes, you are eligible for certification. You will list these programs in your application. Besides the 400 hours of training, there are additional requirements. We recommend reviewing our Training Standards before applying.

I didn’t graduate from a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School. Am I still eligible for certification?2023-09-13T07:36:04-04:00

Yes, as long as you have completed at least 400 hours of training, over a 2 year period, having satisfied all the requirements of the Training Standards, you are eligible for certification. You will have to complete an application to demonstrate how your training covers the GPBA standards. There are additional requirements, so we recommend reviewing our Training Standards before applying.

I graduated from a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School. Am I eligible for certification?2023-06-11T16:07:17-04:00

Yes, anyone who graduates from a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School is automatically eligible for Practitioner certification.

I am interested in becoming a Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner. What if I haven’t completed 400 hours of Breathwork training?2023-06-11T16:21:37-04:00

In this case you can become a Breathwork Supporter or apply to become an Ethically Compliant Breathwork Facilitator if you have received at least 75-100 hours of Breathwork training and 8 hours of ethics training. Once you have achieved your 400+ hours of Breathwork training and having satisfied all other requirements, we welcome you to apply for GPBA certification to signify that you have met the requirements specified by the GPBA standards.

Why should I become a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner?2023-06-11T16:07:30-04:00

By becoming a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner, you are signaling to colleagues and breathees that you have received exemplary training endorsed by the GPBA, and verified as conforming to the GPBA training standards and ethics. You will also be listed on our website with contact information and a bio, receive a Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner digital badge, as well as member benefits.
