Ashley Ludman is the founder of The Body of Breath, a multidisciplinary approach that integrates breathwork, Yoga Therapeutics, energy medicine, and nervous system repatterning to support transformation and embodied healing. Originally trained in the Clarity Breathwork method, Ash has spent over 25 years immersed in therapeutic practice, including a foundational career in occupational therapy with a focus on neuro-rehabilitation. Her graduate studies in clinical counseling emphasized a strengths-based approach, further grounding her work in trauma-informed care.
With decades of experience in the healing arts, Ash weaves together non-dual philosophy, yogic wisdom, and energy-based practices to create accessible pathways for nervous system regulation and spiritual integration. Her work is deeply informed by personal and professional experiences with entheogenic medicines, spanning 20 years, including SOMA (lotus root), Santo Daime and ayahuasca, Iboga, Kambo, Bufo, San Pedro and psilocybin.
She now mentors practitioners and guides integration through breath-centered embodiment practices that restore coherence and balance to the system.
Ash has trained and mentored breathwork facilitators since 2014 and continues to support teachers, therapists, and spaceholders in weaving breath into their healing and transformational work. She has lived in Nosara, Costa Rica since 2011, and offers stateside experiences in North Carolina, California, and additional U.S. locations planned for 2025.
Her forthcoming trilogy explores the intersections of breath, body, and expanded states of consciousness—beginning with a personal collection of stories from her 20-year journey with psychedelic medicines.
