Yes, once your students have completed their training, they are automatically eligible for Practitioner certification.
GPBA Ethically Compliant Breathworkers are practitioners who have committed to the GPBA Code of Ethics and completed at least 50 hours of Breathwork training along with 8 hours of ethics training. While they may not meet GPBA-certified professional standards, they incorporate Breathwork into their practice in an ethically responsible manner.
A GPBA Ethically Compliant Breathwork Program is a training program that meets ethical standards set by GPBA, even if it does not fulfill the full professional certification requirements. These programs include at least 75-100 hours of Breathwork training over nine months and provide at least 8 hours of ethics education, ensuring participants receive a foundational education in ethical Breathwork practice.
GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioners are individuals who have completed extensive GPBA-recognized training (minimum 400 hours of curriculum taught over a 2 year period) and adhere strictly to the GPBA Code of Ethics. These practitioners are equipped to provide high-quality, certified Breathwork services and have met GPBA’s professional standards, making them qualified resources for Breathwork sessions and training.
A GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School or Program (minimum 400 hours of curriculum taught over a 2 year period) has undergone rigorous evaluation to ensure it meets GPBA’s high standards for Breathwork training and ethics. These schools have been established for at least two years and offer one or more training programs that are GPBA-certified. Certified programs meet comprehensive educational standards to prepare students for professional Breathwork practice.
By becoming a Breathwork Supporter, you are supporting the GPBA’s work in promoting the highest of training standards and ethics in the field of Breathwork. You are also gaining membership to a professional Breathwork organization, a good first step before becoming a Certified Practitioner.

Unfortunately, no. Alliance Partner membership is reserved for groups and organizations, often nonprofits, who are guided by the mission in supporting Breathwork in the world.

Finding a school/program is unique to each individual so we welcome you to do a bit of research and see which one may be a good fit for you. And while most of our certified schools are geared towards offering training for practitioners, some also offer Breathwork instruction for personal use, as well as one-on-one Breathwork sessions.

You will also be listed on our website with contact information and a bio, receive a Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioner digital badge, as well as member benefits.

Yes, as long as you have completed at least 400 hours of training, over a 2 year period, having satisfied all the requirements of the Training Standards, you are eligible for certification. You will have to complete an application to demonstrate how your training covers the GPBA standards. Yes, anyone who graduates from a GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School is automatically eligible for Practitioner certification.
In this case you can become a Breathwork Supporter or apply to become an Ethically Compliant Breathwork Facilitator if you have received at least 75-100 hours of Breathwork training and 8 hours of ethics training. Once you have achieved your 400+ hours of Breathwork training and having satisfied all other requirements, we welcome you to apply for GPBA certification to signify that you have met the requirements specified by the GPBA standards.
