  • GPBA-Certified Schools with a minimum of 400 training hours over at least two years;
  • Ethically Compliant Breathwork Programs with a minimum of 50 training hours over nine months plus required ethics education;
  • Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioners who have completed 400+ hours of training in two years;
  • Ethically Compliant Breathworkers with at least 50 hours of Breathwork training and dedicated ethics coursework.

  • A GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork School or Program has undergone rigorous evaluation by the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance (GPBA), confirming it meets high standards for Breathwork training and ethics. These schools provide a minimum of 400 hours of curriculum taught over at least two years, have an established record of training, and offer one or more programs that are GPBA-certified. Students graduating from these certified programs are fully prepared for professional Breathwork practice.

  • GPBA Certified Professional Breathwork Practitioners are individuals who have completed at least 400 hours of recognized training in a GPBA-certified program over two years. They adhere strictly to the GPBA Code of Ethics and are qualified to provide high-quality, certified Breathwork services. These practitioners are fully prepared to deliver professional Breathwork sessions and instruction.
  • A GPBA Ethically Compliant Breathwork Program is a foundational training offering at least 75–100 hours of Breathwork education over nine months. The curriculum includes a minimum of 8 hours of ethics education established by the GPBA. While not accredited for full professional certification, these programs ensure participants are grounded in ethical and responsible Breathwork practice.
  • GPBA Ethically Compliant Breathworkers are practitioners who have completed at least 50 hours of Breathwork training and 8 hours of ethics education, and have committed to the GPBA Code of Ethics. While they do not hold full GPBA professional certification, these individuals integrate Breathwork into their practice with a focus on safety, ethical responsibility, and high standards of client care.
